      LANDON DONOVAN WANTS BAYERN TO SIGN TOTTENHAM STRIKER NEXT SUMMER

According to a report by Spanish outlet Defensa Central, Real Madrid are plotting a move for prolific Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane for the 2023 summer transfer window. The England captain still has two years remaining on his contract with Spurs and has decided against leaving the Premier League club this summer. The 29-year-old was heavily linked with an exit from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium last year, with Premier League champions Manchester City the favourites to land him.

However, Spurs blocked his move across England as Kane stayed put in London and eventually regained his mojo and form as well. The arrival of Antonio Conte, on top of multiple signings in the ongoing transfer window, has reinstated Kane’s belief that he could win silverware in north London as well. However, should Tottenham fail to win a trophy in the ongoing season, the prolific English striker could think of leaving the club in 2023. Keep Reading

WINTER W/CUP COULD HURT US – DONOVAN

American football legend Landon Donovan has his reservations about the upcoming FIFA World Cup tournament in Qatar as regards the United States (US) team. The World Cup in Qatar would be held around the winter time of the year, which is a break from the norm. World Cup tournaments are held in the summer, but the next one in Qatar has been shifted to the winter part of the year due to the hot conditions in the Asian country during summertime.


Landon Donovan spoke to American media outlet Deadspinabout his concerns for a winter World Cup and how it could affect the chances of the US team under manager Greg Berhalter. Donovan talked about the World Cup in Qatar via a telephone conversation from his California base. He’s currently the manager and EVP (Executive Vice President) of San Diego Loyal SC who are in the second tier of professional football in the United States of America.

                   LANDON DONOVAN SAYS MBAPPE KEY TO PSG SQUAD REBUILD

 
Kylian Mbappe’s decision to reject Real Madrid and commit to Paris Saint-Germain for three more seasons marks the start of a large rebuilding project at the French champion. Since cash-rich Qatari investors took over in 2011, PSG has been a dominant force in France but has consistently failed to replicate that success on the European stage despite spending massive amounts on star players.


In addition to the colossal sums of money reportedly promised to the 23-year-old forward-financial terms of Mbappe’s new deal have not been disclosed-the France star has received guarantees that things will change in a big way, with a new coach and a new sporting director likely to be appointed.

SOUNDERS AGREE CONTRACT EXTENSIONS FOR TRIO

MLS football giants Seattle Sounders have agreed contract extensions for three of their first-team players.Seattle Sounders made the announcement on the new contracts to their players at the start of this month. The three players handed contract extensions are Peruvian attacker Raul Ruidiaz, defender Xavier Arreaga and midfielder Joao Paulo.

Peru national team star Ruidiazis the go-to man at Seattle Sounders in terms of goals. He has won the Golden Boot winner at the club four times including the 2021 season. United States national team icon Landon Donovan says it’s not the time to hit the panic button after the disappointing start to the World Cup qualifying campaign ahead of next year’s edition in Qatar. Landon Donovan spoke to SiriusXM FC shortly after the United States played out a goalless draw with hosts El Salvador. According to him, it is too early to start criticisingthe team and that it’s crazy for some fans to think that the draw is a bad result.

 

Landon Donovan is the United States player with the most caps apart from Cobi Jones. The former Everton and Los Angeles Galaxy (LA Galaxy) attacker made 157 appearances for the United States Men’s National Team (USMNT) during his playing career. DONOVAN: DESCHAMPS HAS TO REMAIN FRANCE HEAD COACH

Following the exit of the France national team at the Euros 2020, there has been a huge question mark over the future of the team’s head coach, Didier Deschamps. France were knocked out of the competition by Switzerland on penalties following a 3-3 draw between the two sides after 90 minutes and extra time. The French media has also been questioning the national team’s manager’s long-term future at the helm as pressure continued to mount on him regarding whether or not he is still capable of leading Les Blues to more title triumphs on the international scene.

However, while many have been criticizing him and calling for his head for not being able to use the full potential of the players in his squad, there are others who have asked for him to be given more time. One of those people is former United States Men’s National Team footballer Landon Donovan, who believes that Deschamps has already shown that he has what it takes to be the head coach of the team, while also citing that the players should also take a large percentage of the blame.

DONOVAN: NAGELSMANN WILL SUCCEED AT BAYERN

Former Bayern Munich footballer Landon Donovan has had his say on the recent appointment of Julian Nagelsmann as the new manager of the German Bundesliga giants. Nagelsmann was appointed as the new manager of the club after Hansi Flick announced that he would no longer be continuing his managerial carer with the Bavarians. Flick, in his announcement, revealed that he would love to take on a new challenge by becoming the new manager of the German national team as a replacement for his compatriot Joachim Löw who announced his own departure from the job.

Nagelsmann was touted as the most accurate replacement for Flick and he was contacted by Bayern as they convinced him to quit his role as RB Leipzig boss. He eventually signed a new three-year contract at the club after establishing an agreement in principle with the Bundesliga Champions.

The United States Men’s National Team legend Landon Donovan has recently held an interview where he was asked a couple of questions, including who his favorite Bayern Munich player is. Although not a lot of people would remember his time at the Allianz Arena, but Donovan was a Bayern Munich player between the January and March months of 2009.

He was signed on a short-term loan for Bayern under the club’s former manager Jürgen Klinsmann. The California-born man only made six appearances for Bayern in his career, with all appearances made while coming off the bench. He was then sent back to his parent club Los Angeles Galaxy after the expiration of the short-term loan deal.

United States of America legend Landon Donovan has revealed his affection for Merseyside giants Everton whom he spent two successful loan spells with while he was still a professional football player. He sat down with the official website of Everton to talk about his love for the club and other footballing matters some weeks ago. Landon Donovan said that he would run through a wall for anyone at the club before adding that he will always cherish being a blue.


Landon Donovan is currently the recipient of three positions at a newly formed club in the second division of club football in the United States of America. San Diego Loyal are in the United States League (USL) Championship and Landon Donovan is the owner, manager and executive vice president of soccer at the club. Landon Donovan spent his first loan spell at Everton in 2010 before returning for another loan spell two years later. He was at Major League Soccer (MLS) giants LA Galaxy when he signed on loan for the Toffees twice. He follows Everton keenly and the American would have been impressed by the performance of the club in the Premier League this season as they chase down a Champions League spot at the end of the campaign.
